Portland Timbers Win Fourth Consecutive Match Against Seattle Sounders with 4-1 Scoreline

The Portland Timbers have done it again! On Sunday, August 18th, the Timbers defeated the Seattle Sounders 4-1 in a thrilling match at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon. This marks the fourth consecutive win for the Timbers against the Sounders, and the fourth consecutive match in which they have scored four goals.

The Timbers were off to a strong start early on in the match, with Diego Valeri scoring in the 16th minute. Valeri was assisted by Sebastián Blanco, who had a great game overall. The Timbers then doubled their lead in the 33rd minute when Jeremy Ebobisse scored off of a corner kick.

The Sounders were able to pull one back in the 44th minute when Raúl Ruidíaz scored off of a free kick. However, the Timbers were able to regain their two-goal lead shortly after when Blanco scored in the 50th minute. The Timbers then sealed the victory with a fourth goal in the 88th minute, courtesy of Larrys Mabiala.

The Timbers’ victory over the Sounders was an impressive display of dominance. It was also a great way for the Timbers to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games. The Timbers have now won four consecutive matches against the Sounders and have outscored them 16-4 in those four matches.
