Pato O’Ward is set to make his return to the IndyCar circuit with a race close to home. The Mexican driver will compete in the Texas IndyCar race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas on May 23rd.
O’Ward is no stranger to the IndyCar circuit, having competed in the series in 2019. He finished the season with a podium finish at the Portland Grand Prix and was named Rookie of the Year. He also competed in the Indy Lights series, winning the championship in 2018.
The Texas race will be O’Ward’s first IndyCar race since 2019, and he is looking forward to being back on the track. “I’m very excited to be back in an IndyCar and racing in my home state,” said O’Ward. “I’m grateful for the opportunity and I’m looking forward to putting on a good show for the fans.”

The Texas race will be O’Ward’s first chance to show off his skills on the IndyCar circuit since 2019, and he is determined to make an impact. “I’m going to go out there and do my best,” said O’Ward. “I’m ready to take on this challenge and show what I can do.”
