Miami Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams Reach Elite 8 in March Madness

The Miami Hurricanes men’s and women’s basketball teams have achieved a remarkable feat in this year’s NCAA March Madness tournament. Both teams have advanced to the Elite 8, a remarkable accomplishment for any school. This is the first time in school history that both teams have made it to the Elite 8 in the same year.

The men’s team, led by head coach Jim Larranaga, has been a powerhouse all season long. They finished the regular season with a record of 24-7 and earned the fourth seed in the ACC tournament. In the NCAA tournament, they defeated Florida Gulf Coast, Michigan State, and Oregon State to reach the Elite 8. They will face off against the top-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks in the Elite 8.

The Miami Hurricanes have had a great season and have made school history by having both teams reach the Elite 8 in the same year.
