The Seattle Thunderbirds, a major junior hockey team in the Western Hockey League, are set to host their first ever Pride Night at the ShoWare Center on March 15th. This event will be a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, and will feature a variety of activities and entertainment.
The event will begin with a pre-game ceremony featuring a special performance by the Seattle Gay Men’s Chorus. Following the ceremony, the team will take on the Spokane Chiefs in a regular season game. During the game, there will be several special activities to celebrate Pride Night, including a “You Can Play” video featuring members of the LGBTQ+ community, a “Pride Parade” around the arena, and a “Pride Jersey” auction.
