The Iowa Hawkeyes put on a show in their 98-69 victory over the Loyola Chicago Ramblers on Wednesday night. Led by a triple-double from guard Jordan Clark, the Hawkeyes were able to dominate the Ramblers and secure the win.
Clark was the star of the night, finishing with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. His triple-double was the first for Iowa since 2017, and it was a huge part of the Hawkeyes’ victory. He was joined by Joe Wieskamp and CJ Fredrick, who both scored 20 points in the win.
The Hawkeyes were in control from the start, jumping out to an early lead and never looking back. They shot an impressive 53.8 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three-point range, while holding Loyola Chicago to just 35.7 percent shooting from the field.
The Hawkeyes’ defense was also stellar, forcing 16 turnovers and blocking seven shots. They held the Ramblers to just two fast-break points and outrebounded them by a margin of 41-30.
The win was a big one for Iowa, as it improved their record to 4-0 on the season. It was also a great way for them to start off Big Ten play, as they look to make a run at the conference title.
Overall, it was a great performance from the Hawkeyes, and they will look to carry this momentum into their next game against Wisconsin on Sunday. If they can continue to play at this level, they could be in for a very successful season.
