Comment on Securing my data for international travel by Ants https://seattleprivacy.org/securing-my-data-for-international-travel/#comment-58249 Thu, 15 Feb 2018 14:25:27 +0000 https://seattleprivacy.org/?p=2582#comment-58249 Hello.

I am curious about which password management service you are using and how/where you host it.
Do you maintain your own private cloud that you back up on a paid corporate platform, vice versa, or some other combination of services?
I had just launched my own self-hosted cloud service and have been curious yet cautious about moving away from LastPass to a cloud hosted option for password management.

From reading the following, it appears that the TAILS distro spoofs your MAC address by default.

There seems to be an ongoing problem with Ubuntu, Debian and Network Manager, i.e. you can no longer change or spoof your Mac address here in 2017. Take your pick, some people claim this is just a bug, some people claim this is intentional. Nevertheless, I need to switch Linux Distros to something where you can change your Mac address. This may be more important overseas and I know most Americans no longer bother with such things, but Anyone know a good distro for doing this?
also,
Has anyone seen any recent studies on HOW big companies/banks might counter or block Tor and/or Tails? They have the money, how might they use it to accomplish that end? Again, especially in 2017. Any specifics? And for avoiding them? Any new ways to make Tor stronger in Tails 3.0 – 3.1 I didn’t have time to read all the documentation, something new I may have missed? ]]>
